Olga’s crafts from plastic bottles

Today I want to write a special article. I have only 2 photos that I want to share with my readers. Unfortunately, not all the photos were restored, but I want to show you what is left. Today there will be no step-by-step instructions, but there will be a story of one woman named Olga. Her beautiful house was located a few streets away from ours. She had a small but very cozy house, which was buried in flowers. She turned her garden into a fairy tale with the help of simple materials at hand and a large number of flowers. Olga loved to make crafts from natural materials, and also used ordinary plastic bottles for her crafts. She is an incredibly artistic person.

And I would like to show step-by-step instructions from Olga on how to make a craft from a plastic bottle, but unfortunately, I can’t do this. Olga had to evacuate to the city of Kharkov, since Russia was shelling our region every day. That’s how, in old age, a person lost the opportunity to live in her beautiful house, take care of a fairytale garden and flowers, and create something new.

These photos were taken in 2020. My daughter is in the photo. That day we rode our bikes to visit Olga to drink lemon balm tea and look at her beautiful garden. It was a beautiful day. My daughter enjoyed walking around Olga’s garden and I’m glad I was able to show her this.

Plastic bottles are quite a strong and durable material. Here, as in any craft, a strong base is important. Over time, under the influence of the sun, a plastic bottle can become fragile, so it is advisable to paint the product. Personally, I have not made crafts from plastic bottles (I used them only as a base), as shown in the photo. This is an interesting type of art that deserves attention.
