About

I want to dedicate this blog to my father Igor, who was the best dad in the world for me. I am very grateful to him for a happy childhood. Dad helped and told me how to make different crafts. My beloved father also opened the way to the world of papier-mâché for me. Before each New Year, we had a tradition of making pear Christmas tree toys. It was a simple and exciting process. At that time, we used incandescent bulbs, whose shape resembled a pear, to light the rooms. From time to time, these bulbs became unusable and we used them for crafts. To do this, we needed to take a light bulb, newspapers, PVA glue, a small piece of wire (for a loop), sandpaper and paint. The old light bulb was covered with pieces of newspaper using PVA. Then it had to be dried, cut the craft in half, take out the light bulb, glue the halves with pieces of newspaper, dry, sand and paint. We put small notes inside many of these toys. I took many of these pears to the school Christmas tree.

My father was killed

Unfortunately, Russia took away everything that was dear to me. I did not think that one day I would become a refugee and would know the terrible word “war” from personal experience. Russian soldiers turned my town into ruins, like many beautiful towns in Ukraine. Russian soldiers brought death, troubles, suffering to peaceful cities. They killed my father, we lost almost everything that was dear, many photos were lost forever. Only memories of a happy life that was taken from us remained.

Blog logo

The need to come up with an interesting logo arose when I decided to create my own website. Surprisingly, I managed to make a sketch on paper in 5 minutes. I believe that my path to creativity began with Christmas tree pear toys that my father and I made using the papier-mâché technique. We took incandescent light bulbs as a basis, so one half of the logo is in the form of a light bulb, and the other in the form of a pear. This simple logo reminds me of my beloved father and a happy childhood.
